Sharing thoughts with the wise.

It was so good to see my father-in-law a few weeks ago. I was going through pics on my phone and came across pics from the visit. My father-in-law doesn’t really talk that much but we somehow have a special relationship. I seem to think so anyways.

Sitting outside chatting for a bit was really enjoyable. I picked up on a couple life lessons that I can use today.  Most importantly, I learned a bit more about my father-in-law.

I was always taught as a child to listen to your elders. The elderly have such an abundance of wisdom and endless amount of knowledge. They have lived through many ups and downs of life.

I was thinking that my kids never spent a lot of time with their grandparents because as a military family we didn’t live close. We were always a plane ride away. I shouldn’t feel they were cheated but in a way they were. Grandparents are such incredible people with lots of life experience. The kids are almost adults now, but it is not too late to start at least calling their papa once a week. Young people today could really and I stress really benefit from some elderly knowledge.

Just a random thought……

Have an awesome day!

Xoxo,

Arica
